  • Hoover Fire Dept. (Extreme Team) , Hoover , AL. - November 24-30, 2008. We will be going to Ecuador and traveling to an area that no white person has ever been. This will be a men's only trip (SAME AS LAST YEAR). The cost is $2,300. A $100 airline deposit is due on Aug. 4th with a completed application. The balance is due on Oct. 1st, 08.

How much does a typical trip cost?

Central America $ 1,300 - $ 1,700
South America   $ 2,100 - $ 2,300  (Peru is higher typically)
Europe              $ 2,300 - $ 2,600

Do I need any training to go?

Yes, after the team is formed, we will meet a few times to get all logistics worked out.

Any age restrictions?

Age 12 and older and anyone under 17 must have a parent with them.

What are the sizes of the teams?

12-25 people  18-20 is the perfect size.

Are there shots to get?

Only in a very few countries.

Do I need a passport/Visa?

Yes. We will cover all the info. about passports/Visas in the training meetings. There are many other good questions that we will answer in the meetings.
